New Peer Support Eating Disorders service

Community Links are proud to announce the launch of our new Connect Peer Support service.

Working in partnership with Leeds and York Partnership NHS Trust (LYPFT), our dedicated peer support workers will work within Connect, LYPFT’s new community service across West Yorkshire and Harrogate to treat adults with eating disorders.  Connect is a flexible and innovative community service which aims to meet and treat the needs of individuals with an eating disorder in their own environment.

The service will offer a range of 1:1 and group support and involve the provision of psychological and therapeutic care to service users with an eating disorder.

Having personal experience of an eating disorder, the peer support workers will act as recovery champions working with service users strengths and personal goals to manage their mental health and enable them to define, build and live independent and satisfying lives.

We are in the process of recruiting two peer support workers to deliver the service and an official launch is expected in the next couple of months so watch this space!
