Aspire is a city-wide service that works with people aged 14-65 who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis. We work creatively and holistically with the person and their family/social network to promote recovery, positive mental health and social inclusion.

We are looking to recruit a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) to provide CBT for people who have experienced a First Episode of Psychosis and those who may be ‘at risk of experiencing’ Psychosis (ARMS).

The post holder will need to have experience in providing CBT with a range of clients and will ideally have worked with those who have experienced a First Episode of Psychosis and must have professional accreditation by the relevant organisation, i.e. BABCP.

The role involves being a member of a multi-disciplinary team, and responsible for direct clinical work, consultation,supervision and training of other team members. There will be opportunities to be involved in research, service evaluation and service development.

You would be joining a thriving psychological therapies team including clinical psychology,
counselling psychology, CBT, systemic family therapy and drama therapy. The service has a proud tradition of supporting creativity and innovation. This would be an excellent opportunity to develop an area of special interest and expertise.

We are looking for applicants with a strong interest in psychosis, experience of working in
secondary care mental health and an ability to expand systemic ways of working within the
service. The successful candidate should hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
