Understanding and Working with Loss

Start Date: 21st June 19
Location: Oakwood, Leeds
Price: £99

AIM:  The aim of this one-day course is to introduce participants to loss as an essential part of human experience and to practices that support people moving though their loss experiences.

At the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand what loss is, and how this relates to grief and bereavement
  • Understand problematic grief
  • Have practised key skills for working with loss
  • Have reflected on experiences of loss and working with loss to support practice development

Loss is thought to be a universal human experience and so is going to be at least part of any helping contact.  This course is for health, social care, clinical, therapy and HR practitioners who may or do come across people experiencing loss.  A theoretical and conceptual approach to loss underpins practice reflection and high levels of participants and skills practice.

Feedback from delegates of Understanding & Working with Loss:

“Clearly well-researched & showed a great depth of knowledge.”

“Fantastic opportunities for open discussion & questions.”

“Best training I’ve been on in ages!”
