AIM To enable participants to identify potential indicators of abuse and understand their responsibilities for responding to and reporting safeguarding concerns
At the end of the morning, session participants will be able to:
• Understand key terminology and legislation in relation to safeguarding adults
• Identify common types of abuse and neglect
• Understand the principles of best practice
• Understand local safeguarding protocols and procedures.
This half-day course is aimed at all staff in non-supervisory or -management roles working with adults at risk. It looks at the potential signs and signals of abuse and fulfilling your duty to pass on any disclosures or allegations. It covers how to address any immediate safety or protection needs of the alleged adult at risk, including the recording of the incident in your workplace.
