AIM: To provide an overview of the key components of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Mental Health Act (1983/2007)
At the end of this two-day course, participants will:
- An understanding of the key components of the MCA and MHA
- Identified your key responsibilities and how to work within these acts
- An awareness of how these laws impact service users, families and carers
- Identified sources of professional support
This half-day basic awareness course will provide staff with an understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act. This course highlights key responsibilities to ensure that staff are working to best practice and are compliant to these acts.
