About the service

The Stronger Families programme supports families in Leeds and Bradford who have barriers to accessing education, gaining skills for work or finding employment.

Stronger Families in Leeds is run by Leeds City Council and a partnership of Barca, Barnardo’s, Learning Partnerships, Health for All and Humankind. Community Links is the specialist provider for mental health and wellbeing support.

The project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund.

Aims of the service

The Community Links Wellbeing Service provides a flexible, personalised and empowering emotional health and wellbeing support to parents in the Leeds area.

The aim is to help people understand and look after their mental health and wellbeing. We encourage confidence and resilience so that people can lead healthy and fulfilling lives both during their time with the service and in the future.

The Stronger Families programme is suitable for people aged 18+, who have at least one dependent child, have the right to work in the UK and are not currently in work.
