New Dementia Service Launches in Kirklees

Community Links and Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees have partnered to offer a new service in Kirklees – the Kirklees Dementia Hub, which is commissioned by Kirklees Council.

The service was launched on 24th October and will ensure people within the Kirklees community have access to a wide range of dementia information and advice as well as community awareness raising events.

An Information and Advice Line operates Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm which provides information and advice on living well throughout the dementia journey as well as signposting to further support in the community.

The Kirklees Dementia Hub will also provide specialist Information & Advice Sessions for adults who have a recent diagnosis of dementia and their carers. For more information on this new service and the referral criteria visit the service information page – Kirklees Dementia Hub.
