Our Clear service provides a range of social, leisure and skills based activities for people aged 18+ with mental health needs. Volunteers within CLEAR support the recovery of service users with mental health issues through:
Supporting people to get to groups Some of our clients find it difficult to get to our groups and we need volunteers to support people to attend. This could be meeting someone who is feeling anxious before a group for a coffee and a chat, or supporting someone to build their confidence on public transport.
Supporting the planning and facilitation of activities and groups Volunteers get involved in running our variety of activities. This might be supporting members of the group or helping our workers plan and facilitate groups.
Support people to move on from Clear to support service users at the end of their journey with CLEAR. Volunteers can support with this change by working with people to explore and access activities in their local community.
Build links with our local community We need volunteers to help us to reach out to our local community. This could involve promoting the services we provide to people in our community, consulting with people to see how our service could develop to meet their needs and building links with other organisations.
