Welcome to Brigid House
Brigid House is a Hostel in East Leeds.
Brigid House is a hostel in East Leeds and provides intensive rehabilitation to clients with mental health problems. We work with men and women between the ages of 18 and 64. There are 4 places for clients staying for a maximum of 8 months and 2 places used for relapse prevention (respite) placements.
A team of Mental Health Support Workers staff the hostel 24 hours a day with 1 worker on Sleep-In duty overnight. The team supports clients to develop their skills in managing their mental health and in developing their life skills so that they may live more independently.
The kitchen
The hostel provides a structure to the day to help clients develop a routine and focus. In the evening we hold a community gathering involving all clients and they are actively encouraged to become involved in every aspect of running the house and in their individual care.
