Maltings Close.

Maltings Close is a hostel in Beeston, South Leeds, providing support to 16 men and women with mental health problems, including 4 rooms in the hostel, 6 individual bedsits on site and 6 self-contained houses in the local community.

Maltings Close is a medium to long term service, providing practical and emotional support that enables and empowers service users to work towards recovery and greater independent living.

Service users are encouraged to get involved in the running of the hostel and involve themselves in the decisions that affect them, with the emphasis placed on maintaining a supportive community.  Staff work with clients as individuals, using support plans to move towards recovery, reflecting what actions need to be taken to advance individual aims.

Clients should be;
18 years old and over.
Have a primary mental health diagnosis.
Have regular input from statutory mental health services (either through the Care programme approach or as an outpatient).

The service is not suitable for;
Clients in an acute phase of illness.
Clients with a learning disability.
Clients with dementia.
