Creative Personalities -  Service user ideas welcomed!

Creative Personalities is a collaborative project between service users, Community Links and Personality Plus, for service users living in the Yorkshire and Humber region. This is an exciting project whose aim is to form a creative arts service user network for those who have ‘personality disorder’ issues or complex needs.

Professor Louis Appleby has recently said about this project

“I would strongly encourage services to get involved with the Creative Personalities project, as it has great potential for involving service users in the creative arts.”

Professor Louis Appleby C.B.E. - National Director for Mental Health and Joint National Lead for Arts and Health

The steering committee, which is entirely made up of service users met on 21st January 2010 and agreed to plan three arts projects commencing mid March.

The three projects aim to be:

A regular practical arts and crafts session to be run in York.

A cinema club in the Leeds and Bradford area.

To publish a magazine (both on line and in hard copy) celebrating the poetry and art work of people who identify with personality disorder issues.

If anyone is interested in any or all of these projects please contact me.

Kind Regards
