Community Links named National 'Best company' for second year in a row.
Community Links, has been awarded star status in a survey of the best companies to work for. The award is based on the charity’s first class workplace and high level of investment in its employees.
This is the second year in a row that the charity has been awarded the coveted status by Best Companies, which, based on a survey of employees, ranks it among the best 500 organisations to work for in the entire country.
Personality Plus exhibition
Following the success of Celebrating Personalities on 30th January 09 an event has been organised on 26th February 09 to start the Creative Personalities Network for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Mental Health First Aid endorsed by Minister for Yorkshire & Humber
Rt. Hon. Rosie Winterton MP (Minister for Yorkshire and the Humber) has praised the effectiveness of the Mental Health First Aid course which is being delivered by Community Links across the region. MHFA is a two day, nationally recognised training course aimed at all sections of the public. Community Links is offering the training throughout Yorkshire and the Humber at a subsidised rate with the aid of a grant from the Big Lottery.

New Dual Diagnosis support in Kirklees
Community Links is proud to announce a new service opening in Kirklees by the end of 2008. The Dual Diagnosis service will provide support to clients to live independently in the community who have moderate to severe mental health and co-existing substances misuse needs. This support will be provided over 12-20 weeks so work will be intensive during this time and will involve signposting to other agencies offering specialist longer term support.

Leeds Charity is star employer
Community Links is delighted to announce that it has been awarded Best Companies 2008 star status for outstanding workplace and investment in staff in the Best Companies 2008 employee engagement accreditation scheme.
The elite national accreditation scrutinises workplace engagement and sets a benchmark for other companies to follow.
It follows a 'Michelin star' system, with companies awarded one star for first class, two stars for outstanding and three stars for extraordinary performance.

Community Links has renewed its award of the Effective Leadership in Management model of Investors in people. The assessor was told by staff:

"There are high expectations both internally and externally but with teamwork we deliver."
Staff cited the regular constructive reviews and feedback as "having a powerful impact upon job satisfaction."

The IIP assessor reported: "A leadership team who are visible role models for their values and behaviours" and "The tone of the approach is set by the Chief Executive who seeks to get to know the whole person from selection and induction as well as working alongside staff".
